HAMMOND | The Hammond Sports Hall of Fame will introduce its eight newest members during its 27th annual induction dinner next month.
Included in this year's class are eight athletes who excelled in high school before going on to represent the region in collegiate competition.
At the March 12 dinner, the Hall will also present the 22nd annual Anderson-Peterson Family Distinguished Athlete Award to two 2012 graduates of Hammond high schools who depict the qualities for which the Hammond Sports Hall of Fame was established: dedication, contribution, citizenship, ability and service.
