Times No. 4 Crown Point cruised to a 5-0 boys tennis win over Lowell on Monday.
The Bulldogs (10-1) lost only four total games at the singles spot. At No. 1 singles Brandon Zakutansky beat Harris Rosenbalm 6-1, 6-2. Tom Vanderplough and James Haworth beat Zach Bruckman and Nick Kieta of Lowell (2-6) 6-1, 6-2 at No.1 doubles.

No. 2 Blazers sweep Blackhawks
Times No. 2 Marquette improved to 12-4 in an easy win over the Blackhawks, while had an ace and two kills from Caitlyn Fennell.

No. 2 Indians cruise
Times No. 1 Lake Central (10-2) had a strong showing from medalist Brianna Davy, who carded a 35 at Palmira. Emily Sandefur added a 40, while Jen Pufahl scored a 44.
Bobbie Jo Culp had a team-best 48 for Rensselaer.

The No. 6 Indians (9-4) received a medalist showing from Sarah Dienes, who carded a 41. Taylor King and Allie Steuer led No. 9 Lowell (13-7) as each scored a 48.

Wolves blank Mustangs
Boone Grove rolled to the win behind a hat trick by Ben Solano, two goals from Matt Malone and a goal and three assists from Mitch Aguilera. Kouts' Jon Frame made eight saves.
Prep football
Lowell ranked No. 4 in 4A
Lowell was the lone Region team to be ranked in the latest AP Top 10 football poll as the Red Devils (4-0) were ranked fourth in the Class 4A poll. The Red Devils, also ranked No. 1 in the Times Top 10, host Highland this Friday.
In the 5A poll, Michigan City, Merrillville, Munster and Chesterton received votes; in 2A, Wheeler and Rensselaer received votes; and no local teams received votes in the 3A and A polls.
Griffith celebration this Friday
The Griffith Athletic Department will celebrate 75 years of football and 50 years of the Boneyard before Friday's 7 p.m. home game with Kankakee Valley.
The athletic department is still looking for representatives from the 1950, 1958, 1960, 1963, 1981, 1983, 1984, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 teams for a parade of champions.
