GARY | A valiant comeback effort ended just short for Michigan City, as host West Side outlasted the Wolves.

Michigan City never led but rallied in the fourth quarter to tie it twice before the Cougars closed it out.
Jaronde Boyd’s 3-pointer from the corner with just over six minutes remaining became the game's first tie since the opening tip. At one point, West Side held a double-digit lead.
A dunk by the Wolves' Keenan Simmons tied it again at 37-37.
West Side responded, taking the lead for good on a putback by Arnold Wilson.

In Wilson’s absence, Kirk Myricks hit a pair of free throws at the two-minute mark to put The Cougars up 41-37. Culover’s dunk a minute later sealed the win. Culover scored 14 for West Side, joining Wilson in double-figures.
