ALEX AUSTIN, Mount Carmel
6-3, Sr., F
Stats: 12.8 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 2.0 spg, 1.5 apg, 46 FG Pct.
Bio: The son of former Purdue player Woody Austin is now the Caravan's go-to guy following the graduation of 2010-11 Player of the Year Tracy Abrams.
DARELL COMBS, Thornwood
6-0, Sr., G
Stats: 19 ppg, 4 apg, 4 rpg.
Bio: Recently committed to Loyola, Combs should be one of the SWSC Red's top players and keep the Thunderbirds in the hunt for a divisional championship.
DONALD MOORE, Bloom Twp.
6-0, Sr., G
Stats: 12.5 ppg, 6.0 apg, 82 FT Pct.
Bio: Though slender in build, the speedy Moore is certainly huge in importance to the Blazing Trojans, whom he paced in scoring, assists and steals last season.
WILLIE ORANGE, St. Francis de Sales
6-4, Sr., F
Stats: 5.8 ppg, 12.2 rpg.
Bio: A definite under-the-radar type, Orange may surprise Catholic League foes. His scoring should rise noticeably, and he could become a double-double guy.
MICHAEL ORRIS, Crete-Monee
6-3, Sr., G
Stats: 9.7 ppg, 6.0 apg, 47 FG Pct., 38 3-point FG Pct., 74 FT Pct.
Bio: The glue to the Warriors' sectional-winning 2010-11 squad is now Crete-Monee's main man. Expect Orris, who will attend Illinois, to beef up his scoring.
DELVON RENCHER, Homewood-Flossmoor

Stats: 12.5 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 1.5 apg, 59 FG Pct.
Bio: The nephew of former Marquette star Lloyd Walton will again play a major role for a Vikings team determined to make a much longer playoff run.
RUSSELL ROBINSON, Seton Academy
6-9, Sr., C
Stats: 12 ppg, 8 rpg, 4 bpg.
Bio: If H-F's Tim Williams isn't the area's premier center, Robinson certainly qualifies. He was a big reason, literally and figuratively, Seton won 21 times last year.
TYRONE SHERMAN, Homewood-Flossmoor
5-10, Sr., G
Stats: 12.6 ppg, 4.6 apg, 50 FG Pct., 82 FT Pct.
Bio: Reminiscent of former Vikings point guard Kevin Dillard, who was highly effective as both a passer and shooter, Sherman is the engine that makes H-F go.
SYLVESTER TOLLIVER, Seton Academy
6-4, Sr., F
Stats: 12 ppg, 7 rpg.
Bio: T.F. North's loss is the Sting's gain as the physical forward has joined his athletic director uncle at Seton. Tolliver should shine alongside 6-foot-9 Russell Robinson.
LAQUON TREADWELL, Crete-Monee
6-3, Jr., G/F
Stats: 6.0 ppg, 5.4 rpg., 64 steals.
Bio: A superb two-sport athlete -- he caught 75 passes during the football season -- Treadwell was Crete's steals leader as a sophomore and is a team leader now.
TYLER ULIS, Marian Catholic
5-6, So., G
Stats: 12.9 ppg, 3.4 apg, 2.0 spg, 1.8 rpg, 38 3-point FG Pct., 72 FT Pct.
Bio: Largely overlooked because the Spartans' campaign was average, Ulis' first prep season was definitely a winner as he led Marian in scoring, steals and assists.
TIM WILLIAMS, Homewood-Flossmoor
6-7, Sr., C
Bio: There are no junior-year statistics to speak of since Williams missed almost all of last season with a serious foot injury. Now healthy, the big man will be a load.
