Kia Matthews will coach West Gary Lighthouse Charter School's boys varsity basketball team, which will begin its first season this year. Matthews played on Roosevelt's first girls basketball team in 1975. She is excited to be the first female in Gary's history to coach a boys basketball varsity high school team.
