Chesterton (12-8): Victories over Boone Grove, 66-35, and Crown Point, 85-73, last week ran the Trojans’ winning streak to three games. The 85 points against the Bulldogs was a season high for Chesterton. It was the 100th meeting between the two schools, with Chesterton winning 43 and Crown Point taking 57. It was the 50th meeting with Boone Grove, of which the Trojans have won 45. Sophomore Chris Palombizio scored a career-high 21 points against the Bulldogs. Senior Donnie Johnson added a season-high 17.

Hanover Central (14-7): The Wildcats' 58-49 win over River Forest was their eighth win in the last nine outings and it gave them a 25-24 edge in the series with the Ingots. Senior Max Johnson stashed a personal-best 32 points and moved past 2011 grad Zach Rush into ninth place on the Hanover scoring list. This game was the 150th in the coaching career of Bryon Clouse.

Kouts (19-2): The Mustangs posted wins over River Forest, 71-57, and LaCrosse, 88-45. The win over the Tigers was their 22nd straight in Porter County Conference round-robin play and wrapped up their third consecutive undefeated PCC title. That's been done only one other time in PCC history. Hebron accomplished the feat in 1962, 1963 and 1964. Junior Max Everaert totaled 52 points in the two games, including a season-high 35 against the Ingots. Everaert ranks 32nd in Kouts history, behind 1979 grad Jeff Sandberg. Junior Cody Nelson fired in a personal-best 26 points against LaCrosse and moved over the 300 mark to 315. Junior Jake Bekelya scored a career-high 11 points against River Forest.

LaCrosse (3-16): Senior Riley Charlesworth scored 28 points in a loss to Kouts. In the process, he moved past 1965 grad Dennis Berkshire and 1998 grad Adam Lawrence into 15th place on the Tigers' scoring list.

Valparaiso (16-4): Michigan City’s 48-45 upset win over Valpo in overtime marked the fourth consecutive year in which the Wolves have knocked off the Vikes in the regular-season finale. Valpo finished second in the Duneland Athletic Conference with an 11-3 record. Merrillville won the title with a 13-1 mark.

Washington Township (14-6): The Senators capped one of their best regular seasons in history with a 59-54 win over Morgan Township. The Senators have won five consecutive games. The 14 victories tied the school record for wins in a season with the 1995 and 1997 teams, coached by Paul Curtis. Tuesday's victory over Covenant Christian at the Kouts Sectional set the record. Senior Garrett Short scored nine points against the Cherokees to move over the 300 mark to 301.

Westville (11-9): The Blackhawks stayed hot, extending their winning streak to seven games with wins over Hebron, 49-48, and South Central, 50-27. The win over the Satellites snapped a nine-game losing streak in the series.

Wheeler (13-7): The Bearcats extended their winning streak to five games with victories over Lowell, 51-45, and Hobart, 50-32. Senior Kevin Barnes totaled 19 points in the two games, becoming the 50th player in Wheeler history to reach the 500-point plateau. Barnes has 512 points.
