Senior Riley Charlesworth totaled 68 points in the three games, including a career-high 35 against the Blackhawks. The Pirates are 12-1 with Portage left. Senior John Mosser scored 19 points, bringing his career total to 500. He is the 64th player in Valpo history to reach that plateau. Senior Zach Meyer matched his career high with 13 points.

Washington Township (13-6): The Senators ran their winning streak to five with wins over Whiting, 51-49, and River Forest, 55-52. The 13 victories by Washington this season is the most since the 1997 team went 14-7. Two more wins for coach Scott Bowersock’s club would give it the most in school history. Senior Bobby Ross scored nine points against the Ingots to become the 34th player at Washington to reach 500 points. Senior Kyle Wolf tallied a career-high 13 points against River Forest.

Westville (9-9): The Blackhawks extended their winning streak to five with wins over Morgan, 68-61, and LaCrosse. The overtime win over LaCrosse evened the series at 69 wins apiece.
