Senior Jon Hogg ended his career with 690 points, which ranks 33rd in Boone history, behind 1957 graduate Larry Casbon.
Chesterton (12-10): The Trojans recorded their ninth winning season in the last 13 years. Junior Chris Palombizio has 760 career points, which ranks 13th in Trojans history, behind 1962 grad Ernie Stiller. Senior Corey Rusboldt finished with 476 points, which ranks 56th at Chesterton, behind 1966 grad Dick Jeffrey.
Hebron (13-10): The Hawks, after winning the Porter County Conference tournament title and starting 11-3, dropped seven of their last nine games. Senior Tony Rose concluded his career with 476 points, which ranks 67th at Hebron, just ahead of 1986 grad Dan Roeske.
Kouts (16-5): Kouts is 73-15 over the last four years. The Mustangs, under first-year coach Matt Crawford, posted their 22nd winning season over the last 28 years. Senior Matt Stewart finished his career with 700 points, which ranks 30th in Kouts history. Senior Cody Nelson ended with 678 points, which is good for 34th place, just ahead of 1999 grad Mike Sandberg. Senior Jake Bekelya captured the PCC and Porter County scoring titles with an average of 21.5. He finished with 517 points, which ranks 55th at Kouts, just ahead of 1955 grad Roger Redelman.
LaCrosse (3-17): The Tigers suffered their 10th consecutive losing season. The last winning season came in 2004, when that club posted a 13-9 record. LaCrosse has had just four winning seasons over the last 21 years. Senior Bryce Guse finished with 788 points, which ranks 23rd in Tigers history, behind LaCrosse coach and 2004 grad Scot Spoljaric. Guse's 19.6 scoring average ranks 15th best in Tigers history.
Morgan Township (10-10): After a 9-5 start, the Cherokees dropped five of their last six games. Junior Chase Braden has 835 career points, which ranks 14th at Morgan, behind 1938 grad Jake Blastick. Sophomore Jake Koselke has 555 points, which places him in a tie for 53rd with 1960 grad Larry Lansing.
Portage (13-11): Portage recorded its fifth winning season in the last 21 years. The Indians' average points allowed of 48.3 per game is the best since the 1993 team yielded 45.5 per game. Senior Luke Kizer wrapped up his career with 595 points, which ranks 34th in Portage history, behind 1970 grad Dave Alvarado. Junior Jordan Collazo has 583 points, which puts him in a tie for 35th with 1956 grad John Rollins.
South Central (5-16): Junior Mark Richards scored in double figures in 17 of his 21 games this season. The rest of the Satellites combined for just 14 double-figure performances.
Valparaiso (12-9): The Vikings posted their sixth straight winning season and 14th in the last 15 years. Senior Justin Osburn finished with 433 career points, which is tied for 74th in Vikings history with 1972 grad Mark Freeman.
Washington Township (16-6): The Senators’ scoring average of 64.5 points per game is the best at Washington since the 1997 team had a 68.6 norm. Senior Brandon Adkins finished with 749 points, which ranks 15th, behind 1977 grad Brian Balu. Adkins’ scoring average of 14.5 is the best at Washington since David Walters scored at a 14.8 clip in 2007.
Westville (13-9): The Blackhawks averaged 63.8 per game this year, the best at Westville since the 1996 team averaged 65.8 per game. Senior Shawn Gerron concluded his career with 696 points, which ranks 24th in Blackhawks history, behind 1961 grad Paul Rogowski. Senior Collin Walker finished with 495 points, good for 55th, behind 1965 grad John Roberts and 1991 grad Dave Warnke.
Wheeler (6-14): The Bearcats dropped their last seven games and snapped a run of 12 consecutive winning seasons. The six wins this season was the fewest at Wheeler since the 1998 team won just three games.
