Last year: 15-8, 6-1 (PCC)
Hanover Central returns seven points and seven rebounds per game for it's first season in the Greater South Shore Conference. Alex Calvin is the only senior on the roster. "We've got some troubled times ahead of us if we don't jump into the deep end and start swimming," coach Bryon Clouse said. "We've got no experience back." Clouse admits this could be called a rebuilding year, but says his team could gel by season's end and pull a few surprises. The Wildcats will attempt to slow down games and run a motion, Princeton-style offense with cuts and screens to try to find an open shot. "I'll have my thumb on a lot of what's going on this year," Clouse said. "It's definitely going to be more Coach Clouse this year." All-Porter County Conference player Max Johnson is lost to graduation and no one on this team will have the freedom Johnson had last year. But Luke Pedersen and Bobby McClelland both have the potential to develop into scoring threats. — David P. Funk

Luke Pedersen, 1.9 ppg

Bobby McClelland, Jr., G: He had a great summer, surprising Clouse, and will play point guard. He understands the game and can knock down the jumper, if needed.
Newcomer to watch
Payton Smith, So., G: He's a streaky shooter who will get the chance to start immediately and will have to grow up fast.
