Last year: 9-11, 3-4 (PCC)
Entering his fourth season at Hebron, coach John Steinhilber wants everyone to know what to expect when facing the Hawks. "Defense is going to be our calling card," Steinhilber said. "That's what we do here." The Hawks have just one senior on the roster, but feature plenty of height. Spencer Sutherland (6-foot-6) and Ryan Daniel (6-5) will be an imposing frontline in the Porter County Conference while Tony Rose (6-0) can play all over the court. Steinhilber really likes the commitment from Bryce Hanaway. The junior passed on cross country this season in order to prepare for basketball. The result was an extra 20 pounds of muscle that should allow the guard to get to the basket. Steinhilber has a strong coaching staff that features former Hebron standout Damon Wallace. — Paul Oren
