Last year: 3-17, 1-8 (PCC)
After a slow and methodical offense yielded little success the last few seasons, LaCrosse looks to run this campaign — on both sides of the ball. “The biggest outlook for this year is going to be our speed and our movement,” coach Scot Spoljaric said. “In the past few years, we’ve been kind of a slow-paced team who pounds it in. One thing we want to do this year is have a very hectic defense that can be an intimidating presence. Offensively, we’re going to have a lot better ball movement than we’ve had in the past and spread it throughout the team.” Senior guard Bryce Guse will be looked to as a leader while a young duo of Jared Spoljaric and Zach Brown are expected to set the tone down low, but this season and in the future. — Michael Raines
