William Corrigan of South Bend St. Joseph's defeated Merrillville's Leonard Matthews II 6-7 (9-11), 6-2, 6-3 to capture the championship of the Saturday's LaPorte Singles Regional.
Matthews II downed Northridge's Nick Myers in the semifinals 6-2, 7-6 (7-3), while Kankakee Valley's Luke Sanderson fell to Corrigan 6-3, 3-6, 6-4.
The Chesterton doubles team of Scott Homner and Ryan Tarnowski fell 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 in the doubles championship to Sean Anderson and Bradford Walter of Penn. Homner and Tarnowski advanced with a 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 decision over Wawasee's Westin Becker and Nick Price (Wawasee).
