Rylan Arihood rushed for four touchdowns Friday night, leading Times No. 5 Rensselaer to a 47-0 Hoosier Conference win over Benton Central.
Arihood, who carried the ball 17 times for 65 yards, scored twice from a yard out and added TD runs of 2 and 7 yards. Ab Kiger scored on a 6-yard run for the Bombers (7-2, 4-2); Hunter Wright returned an interception 26 yards for a TD and Luke Robertson made field goals from 27 and 41 yards.
Rensselaer’s defense was stingy, allowing 12 total yards, minus-15 on the ground.
E.C. Central 27, South Bend Adams 25: Carlos Fernandez’s 28-yard touchdown pass to TreQuan Burnett with 1:37 remaining in the game helped the No. 10 Cardinals (7-2) rally for the win.
Martayveus Carter helped E.C. Central jump out to an early lead with a 2-yard touchdown run, 68-yard scoring reception from Fernandez and a fumble return all in the first quarter.
The Eagles scored twice in the third quarter to take the lead, setting the stage for the Cardinals' late rally.
Fort Wayne South 51, Lew Wallace 20: After falling behind 51-0 in the third quarter, the Hornets managed to score the final 20 points of the game before falling well short of the Archers.
Darius Mahome had 147 yards on just nine carries, and scored a pair of touchdowns including a 75-yard run for Lew Wallace (2-4). Nokia Sryson also had a touchdown run for the Hornets.
