On Thursday, the IHSAA said that West Side's football team would be given credit for a win over Chicago Lindblom last weekend. On Friday, the IHSAA's Jason Wille said the Cougars would have to forfeit the win.
Lindblom will be credited with a 2-0 win because West Side used two unlicensed officials in the game. So the Cougars record is 0-2 heading into Friday's game at Andrean.
West Side coach Jason Johnson said the game was called with 5:47 left in the third quarter due to several instances of unsportsmanlike conduct. No West Side players were ejected so the Cougars were at full strength at Andrean.
Wille said the IHSAA had not discovered the unlicensed officials until Friday morning. He said West Side had been informed of the ruling.
