MUNSTER — Not having a good quarterback has been compared to a car with no steering wheel.

Watch it! Watch it! CRASH!

Lake Central has no such worries with 6-foot-4, 215-pound junior Zach Bundalo, a second-year starter who passed for 207 yards and four touchdowns in Friday night's 33-14 season-opening win at Munster.

"I don't feel I have to carry them on my back," Bundalo was quick to say. "All are equal. We are 85 guys playing for one team -- Lake Central.

"Every one of my receivers has their own special trait that contributes to our offense and I love it."

Weapons? Did someone say weapons?

Gio Lopez had two catches for 136 yards and a touchdown, Tyler Wagner had three receptions for 40 yards and a score, and Keon Sellers snagged a 23-yard TD grab.

Running back Josh Williams, who's like trying to tackle a tractor at 5-9 and 215 pounds, carried 17 times for 116 yards and a touchdown.

"I feel I can get it done if I just put my mind to it," said the senior. "We know this is like Munster's Super Bowl when they play Lake Central. They scored first but it's not how you start, it's how you finish.

"That most definitely woke us up. My running game got better and better and my whole line went to work."
