The Times Breakdown
Senior leadership will be the key and it appears this group of seniors are prepared to lead. The Rebels came back and finished on a three-game winning streak, but missed the postseason for just the second time in 14 years. Kessler, Canty and Leach will anchor both offensive and defensive lines with Bucksath being a returner at defensive end. Young will anchor the linebackers, while Sanford is expected to have a big year as a running back and defensive back. Padjen and Danny Janowski give the Rebels depth at quarterback. If the team plays together, it should make a postseason run.
Quote: "We had a good summer camp with good senior and junior classes competing for positions and playing time. We will have some inexperience on both sides of the ball and we are depending on veteran players to provided the leadership necessary to be successful. We are excited about this team's potential and we look forward to the challenges of the 2012 season !~ Tom Padjen
