The Times Breakdown
Second-year coach Tyrone Richardson has doubled his roster from last year and has 45 players to work with, including a core of solid position players. He inherited the Falcons in July of last year and had a challenging first season as his players, mostly sophomores, learned a new system. Richardson is happy that he’s had all summer to work with his squad. Newman will move to running back from quarterback and Johnson will become his signal caller. There is some talent and the Falcons have a chance to get the program back in the right direction.
Quote: “We hope to make great progress this year. They’ve been working very hard at practice and we have a lot more options because we have both a running and passing game.” !~ Richardson
