Thornton Fractional's Thomas Kotel won the 100-yard butterfly at the South Suburban Blue Conference meet Friday at Oak Forest.
Tinley Park won the meet with 238 points. Thornton Fractional was fifth with 142 1/2 points.
Thornton Fractional was fourth in the 200 free relay (1:42.08), 200 medley relay (1:55.39) and 400 free relay (4:06.51). Ivano Garza was fifth in 500 freestyle (5:40.95) as was Moises Mendoza in the 50 freestyle (25.45).
Boys Basketball
Seton Academy 81, Bishop McNamara 74: Mark Weems led three Sting players in double figures as Times No. 5 Seton Academy (15-9, 4-1) beat the Fightin' Irish in a Catholic League South game.
Weems had 22 points and seven rebounds. Kamal Shasi scored 19 points, and Alex Foster had 17 points and six rebounds.
Illinois Lutheran 63, Donovan 40: Collin Borns scored 18 points to lead the Chargers (14-6, 7-3) to a River Valley Conference win. Austin Wood (15) and Mack Newson (14) joined Borns in double figures.
Marian Catholic 62, Joliet Catholic 50: Chris Austin led the Spartans (22-3, 3-2) with 20 points in a win over the Hilltoppers (2-19, 0-5) in a East Suburban Catholic Conference game.
Four players -- Tyler Ulis, T.J. Parham, Kevin Phillips and Xavier Parker -- did not play for violation of team rules, according to a Marian spokesman.
Josh Cohn added 17 points for Marian, which tied a school record for wins.
Crete-Monee 83, Kankakee 54: Marvie Keith's 18 point led the Warriors (15-7, 3-4) past the Kays in the Southland Athletic Conference. Laquon Treadwell had 15 points and six rebounds. Mark Conner had 11 points.
Brother Rice 71, St. Francis de Sales 53: Cornelius McIntosh's 13 paced the Pioneers in a Catholic League South loss to the Crusaders.
