Hebron used a 23-2 second-quarter advantage to roll to a 47-24 boys basketball victory over visiting North Newton on Friday.
The Hawks (5-2) were led by Bryce Hanaway and Tony Rose with 13 and 12 points, respectively.
The Spartans (1-6) managed just eight field goals.
Lowell 66, Churubusco 44: Eric Zukauskas scored 21 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead the Red Devils to a rout in the Caston Tournament. Billy Barker added 16 points, while Zach Van Hook chipped in 10.
The Red Devils (6-1) jumped out to a 23-7 lead after one quarter and never looked back.
Portage 59, Rock Creek Academy 47: Tim Bryant's 19 points and four steals helped the Indians (5-4) down the Lions (3-5) in a consolation bracket game at the Bob Wettig tournament in Richmond. Luke Kizer added 12 points for Portage, which lost to Floyd Central 64-61 Thursday night. The Indians played Greenfield-Central in a late game Friday.
New Prairie 68, Gavit 54: Eric Sims' 19 points and Kyle Landers' 17 led the Gladiators (1-4) in a home loss to the Cougars (4-1). It was Gavit's third straight loss as Casey Jackson and Jeremy Irons had eight points each.
Whiting 42, Highland 40: Joe Hawkins, Victor Quinones and Chris Dietz led the Oilers (5-4) with 10 points each in a win over the Trojans (4-6). Dietz added 10 rebounds.
Noblesville 51, Merrillville 27: Sophomore Marcel Cherry scored 16 of the Pirates' points in the loss. Demetrious McKeethen added 10 as Merrillville fell behind 13-3 in the first quarter.
Games postponed: Lake Station at Kouts, and Bremen at Washington Township were not played due to the weather. Makeup dates have not been determined.
Valparaiso 51, Lowell 49: Grace Withrow poured in 21 points to lead the Vikings (6-7) to a win over the Red Devils (7-5).
Nicole Sharkey had 16 points to lead Lowell, which has lost five straight games.
Munster 53, Andrean 49: Jordan Cole's 22 points helped pace the Mustangs (4-8, 1-3) to a Northwest Crossroads Conference victory over Andrean. Teammate Megan Zabrecki chipped in 10 points, while Cole connected for four assists and three steals.
Brenna Boyle hit six 3s and scored 19 points for Andrean (4-9, 2-2), with Kennedy Kuykendall adding 11 points.
Chesterton 92, Roosevelt 23: Caroline Puntillo scored 23 points as the Trojans (6-6) raced to a 40-point halftime lead and breezed past the Panthers (3-6). McKenzie Sullivan contributed 13 points and four steals for the Trojans, who received 11 points from Natalie Petro and Hailee Norton. Chesterton shot 60 percent, making 40 of 59 field goals.
Kouts Hall of Fame induction Jan. 17: The Kouts High School sports hall of fame will induct five new members in ceremonies between the junior varsity and varsity boys basketball games Jan. 17 against Washington Township. Honorees include 1945 graduate Roger Adams, 1985 graduate Wendy (Werner) Kluender, 1989 graduate Kim (Lawrence) Stewart, 1995 graduate Jeremy Rochford and retired boys basketball coach Marty Gaff.
