Covenant Christian's boys basketball team is a win away from program history.

The Knights crushed Caston 65-34 Friday in the semifinals of the Class A Tri-County Sectional. Covenant Christian has never won a sectional crown.

The Knights will face the host Cavaliers on Saturday. Tri-County won the regular-season meeting 62-42 on Dec. 16.

Boys indoor track

West Side 62, Bishop Noll 42, E.C. Central 18: Tajeem Muhammad won the long jump (20 feet, 5 1/2 inches), 60 dash (6.78 seconds) and helped the Cougars win the 400 relay (2:09.52) on Thursday in their triangular win.

Tyler Dowd won the 1,600 (4:53.09) and the 800 (2:20.5) for the Warrors.

Devon Smith won the high jump (5-2) for the Cardinals

Hanover Central Invitational: Griffith's Thomas Perez won the 1,600 (5:17.46) and 3,200 (11:35) at the unscored meet Thursday.

Hanover's Tyler Mason won the 55 hurdles (8.39) and the long jump (19-3 1/4).

Girls indoor track

E.C. Central 51, Bishop Noll 48, Morton 35: Rmonie Jones won the 60 dash (7.68), Labrea Palmer won the 400 (1:10.5) and Angel Bullard the 200 (30.2) to lead the Cardinals to the triangular win Thursday.

Faith Jackson won the 60 high hurdles (9.23) and 60 low hurdles (9.21) for the Warriors.

Taya Spokes won shot put (24-5) for the Governors, while teammate Aliyah Clopton won the 800 (2:47.1).

Hanover Central Invitational: The host Wildcats won a meet-high six events Thursday. Kouts won four events.
