Thanks to 19 points from Josh Kelly, Hobart held off Morton 61-54 in nonconference boys basketball action Friday.
Juan Lamar III had 17 to add for the Brickies (5-9), and Josh Uhles chipped in 14.
Darius Coty and Ta'Yon Carter had 12 each for Morton (6-8), with Rayan Elabed and Jarret Dickey scoring 11 apiece.
Morgan Township 68, Hanover Central 31: Jake Koselke had team highs of 21 points and three steals to power the Cherokees (8-5) over the Wildcats (0-13). Chade Braden added 18 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Tyler Abbett scored 12.
Bobby McClelland led Hanover Central with nine points.
Westville 49, Argos 45: Westville shook off a sluggish first quarter to defeat Argos.
The Blackhawks (9-5) scored three points in the first period. Josh Brownlee scored eight of his 11 points in the second quarter as Westville outscored Argos 21-10 in the period. Shawn Gerron had a team-high 14 points against the Dragons (8-4), while teammate Chris Wilkins added 13.
Hebron 47, North Judson 46: Tony Rose scored nine of his team-high 17 points in the second half as the Hawks (10-3) escaped with a win over the Bluejays (7-5). Donovan Friel and Spencer Sutherland each added 10 points.
West Side 70, Culver Academy 32: Freshman sensation Dana Evans scored a game-high 25 points; Lexus Fox pulled down eight rebounds, and Amari Ferguson dished out six assists enabling the Times No. 3 Cougars to improve to 13-3.
Crown Point 49, Morton 23: Hannah Albrecht scored 12 points; Abby Kvachkoff had 11, and Katija Tarailo chipped in 10 as the Bulldogs (12-6) easily captured the victory.
Timya Ray led Morton (8-11) with 10 points.
Chesterton 52, Andrean 24: Caroline Puntillo scored a game-high 21 points as the Trojans (9-9) defeated the 59ers (5-13).
Haley Hrosik topped Andrean with nine points.
Valparaiso 38, Munster 37: Grace Withrow scored a team-high nine points to lead the Vikings (9-9) over the Mustangs (5-11).
Portage 32, Griffith 23: Kaitlin Doud scored a game-high 12 points to help the Indians (10-9) defeat the Panthers (8-8).
Courtney Bell had a team-high 11 for Griffith.
LaPorte 55, John Glenn 39: Jaclyn Heath totaled 24 points, nine assists and three steals to lead the Times No. 1 Slicers (17-1) over the Falcons (13-3).
Kelsey Gushrowski added 12 points and seven rebounds, while Nicole Konieczny had 11 points, seven rebounds and three steals.
South Central 62, LaCrosse 34: Jill Rosenbaum had 14 points and nine rebounds to lead the Satellites (11-6, 5-0) over the Tigers (5-10, 2-5) in Porter County Conference play. Riley Popplewell added seven points, 12 rebounds and three steals for S.C., which plays Morgan Township for first place in the league this afternoon.
Alissa Tucker led LaCrosse with eight points.
