Last year: 4-17, 3-4 (GSSC)
The Warriors are young, despite returning three starters, because those on the bench don't have a lot of varsity experience. "What we have is the most dangerous thing a team can have, that's potential," coach Dori Downing said. "Potential can be an amazing, wonderful thing and if you don't get close to it, it can be the most devastating thing in the world. But as you look at them, I have athletes and size that I haven't had in a while." Without the pressure of overly high expectations, Calumet is happy to look at the power to improve. The players are eager to learn and that makes the game that much more fun for Downing to help these kids play. — Hillary Smith
