Battle stepped up and was a big part of the Meteors' success. She often battled taller players but still came away with the rebound. She signed with Alabama-Birmngham where she will join former Meteor star Karisma Chapman.

Led the Vikings in rebounding and will be one of the top players in the Metro Suburban Conference. She is very versatile as witnessed by her being one of the main players on the Vikings' volleyball team, which won a regional championship.
Dominique Brooks | T.F. South

2010-11 stats: 7.5 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 47 blocks
Could be one of the area's best if she improves her footwork. She can dominate underneath and is expected to be a force for the Rebels. She has committed to Mississippi State.
Tyler Brown-Henderson | St. Francis de Sales

2010-11 stats: 14.8 ppg, 7.6 rpg, 3.5 apg, 4.6 spg
She is one of the reasons St. Francis de Sales' program has returned to prominence. She may be one of the best in the GCAC White.
Alanna Ferry | Marian Catholic
5-5, Sr., G
2010-11 stats: 4.2 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 1.7 apg
She is a captain and plays unselfishly in distributing the ball inside, but is not afraid to put up a shot. She palys with a lot of heart and often goes against bigger guards.
Bria Gaines | Bloom Twp.
6-2 , Jr., F
2010-11 stats: 12.0 ppg, 9.4 rpg, 1.5 spg.
She will again be expected to score and control the boards, as well be a team leader.
Amari Griffin | Beecher
6-0, Sr., C
2010-11 stats: 17.2 ppg, 11.8 rpg, 3.4 spg, 3.1 bpg, 1.6 apg
She is getting noticed from several schools. She was a fourth-team selection all-state by the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association. Griffin dominated in the River Valley Conference. She gave the Ladycats a strong inside game as they went 10-0 to win the RVC title. She will really be a force next season. She also had 88 blocks.
Sydni Johnson | Homewood-Flossmoor
5-11, Jr., C,
2010-11 stats: 8.5 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 1.1 spg
Led the team with 168 rebounds and will be one of the dominating post players. She has size but also has great ball handling skills. One of the reasons the Vikings are looking for a postseason run.
Arielle Miree | Thornwood
5-6, Sr., G
2010-11 stats: 8.5 ppg, 3.2 apg
Miree ran the offense and will be asked to do so again. She has a 3.5 GPA and her smarts show on the court. She is one of the reasons Thornwood is making a turnaround.
Charnelle Reed | Homewood-Flossmoor
5-10, Sr., G
2010-11 stats: 13.2 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 3.0 0 apg, 2.4 spg
She became the team leader and made 40 3-pointers in leading the Vikings to the Class 4A Thornton Regional title. Reed was a SouthWest Suburban Blue first-teamer and was the one who got H-F moving on both ends of the court. Reed is signed with Western Illinois.
Megan Walsh | Marian Catholic
6-1, Jr., C
2010-11 stats: 5.4 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 31 blocks
Walsh will be one of the reasons Marian will be tough inside. She plays hard in the paint and played tough in big games against more experienced players.
Angelik Young | Crete-Monee
5-7, Sr., F
2010-11 stats: 10.0 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 1.7 spg
She provided the toughness for a young team and helped get Crete-Monee's program back to respectability. Young took a pounding inside but battled the bigger players and almost averaged a double-double. Young is Crete's best all-around players.
