Crete-Monee collected the team victory, but no Warrior could match T.F. South's Patty Stellfox Tuesday afternoon.
The Rebels' senior runner claimed first place by more than two minutes over her closest pursuer at a cross country triad in Crete. Stellfox clocked a 19:58 over the 2.75-mile course, enabling her to easily outdistance runner-up Teja Foy of Crete, who crossed the finish line in 22:04.
Four other Warriors also placed in the top nine, giving the hosts a 28-42 victory over South. Rich East totaled 85 points.
Other Rebels who finished among the leaders were Jessica Fierce (fifth, 22:35) and Breanna Heinz (eighth, 23:12).
Marian wins triad | Eight top-10 finishes carried the Spartans to a home triad win over Eisenhower and Rich South. Scored as a double-dual meet, Marian bested the Cardinals 15-40 and the Stars 25-30.
Angela Totos (23:06) was the Spartans' leader and third meet runner down the chute. Jacqueline Silverman (23:34), Ellen Quinn (23:37), Adriana Valedon (23:39) and Molly Dettman (23:51) placed fourth through seventh for Marian.
Boys Cross Country
Crete tops T.F. South | A 2-3-4-5 finish by Crete-Monee lifted the Warriors to a triumph in a home triad versus T.F. South and Rich East.
Ali Allen was the Warriors' pace setter as he took second overall with a time of 17:34 on the 2.75-mile course. He wound up 15 seconds behind winner Dorien Simmons of Rich East. Following Allen across the line were Crete teammates Josh Millsap (17:35), Bryce Stluka (17:36) and Ricky Hall (17:39).
Occupying the 6-7-8 positions were the T.F. South trio of Kenny Karrson (18:21), Ben Berridge (18:26) and Alex Dolinar (18:30). Travis Middleton (19:44) and Anthony Kyte (19:45) ran 11th and 12th, respectively, but the Rebels still fell short of the Warriors by a 27-44 score.
Marian triumphant | Led by meet winner Nate Bodnar (18:06), the Spartans defeated Eisenhower (25-30) and Rich South (21-34) in a triad at Marian.
Chris Merriman (third, 18:50), Matt Lamb (seventh, 19:19) and Matt Ireland (ninth, 19:46) were the Spartans' other notables.
Illiana Christian 171, Elmwood Park 217 | Medalist Kevin Vroegh's 42 keyed the Vikings' victory on the par-35 front nine at Palmira.
Right behind Vroegh were Josh Davis, Seth Wiltjer and Kurt Bultema, each of whom fired a 43 for Illiana (4-1, 1-1 Metro Suburban).
Joliet Catholic 170, Benet 172, Marian Catholic 182 | Mitch Zavesky's 43 was the Spartans' low score in an ESCC triad at Joliet. Terry Jarosky and Sean Rea both shots 46s for Marian (0-4, 0-4).
T.F. North 206, Hillcrest 236 | Andrew Swibes and Dennis Minefee both carded 47s to lead the Meteors (4-2, 1-0) past the Hawks in an SSC Blue match.
Bloom Twp. 1, Stagg 1 | Osraldo Sanchez tallied the Blazing Trojans' lone goal off an assist from Jorge Garcia, and netminders Oscar Santana and Moises Barrios secured the tie for Bloom Twp. (3-2) by making 14 saves between them.
Beecher 2, Illinois Lutheran 1 | Jimmy Vandermark and Colin Leahy each scored to lead the Bobcats (2-1) past the Chargers.

Holy Trinity 5, St. Francis deSales 1 | Alan Cortez had a goal and German Solis was credited with the assist for the Pioneers (1-3). Goaltender Alexis Gonzalez had eight saves in a losing cause.
Lincoln-Way North 107, Homewood-Flossmoor 77 | Rebecca Mathews (200 I.M.), Brittany Bilbrew (diving), Gabi Cipriano (500 free) and Anna Tenny (100 back) notched individual victories for the Vikings.
Cipriano was also part of H-F's winning 200 free relay team.
Illiana Christian 7, Fenton 0 | Singles players Zhavia Gray (6-0, 6-0) and Rachel Blaauw (6-1, 6-1) picked up straight-sets wins for the Vikings (4-0), as did two of their doubles tandems.
T.F. South 3, Eisenhower 2 | Andriana Johnson and Jessica Gomez won in singles, while the No. 2 doubles team of Jenny Lee and Kimberly Tisder were victorious in leading the Rebels (6-3) past the Cardinals.
Beecher 15-25-30, Clifton Central 25-7-28 | Jordyn Beck's 4 kills and 13 assists, and Sam Nissen's three aces, three kills and five digs led the Ladycats to the win.
Oak Forest 25-25, T.F. North 12-15 | Despite contributions from Sharia Coleman (five kills, three points, three digs) and Hignia Vazquez (nine assists), the Meteors suffered their eighth straight setback.
