Kelly Lewers, Sr., F

Homewood-Flossmoor

Stats: 47 goals, 24 assists

Lewers averaged nearly two goals and one assist per game while leading the Vikings to a 21-3 record and a berth in the Class 4A Normal Community Supersectional. Her 24 assists prove that Lewers has become the complete team player. Lewers has been the Vikings team most valuable player for the past three seasons and is the Times Player of the Year for the second time in three years. The senior standout will take her talents to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

AJ Rodas, Sr., F

Crete-Monee

Stats: 33 goals, 6 assists

Rodas only joined the Warriors for her senior season, but the standout forward showed the Southland Athletic Conference all they have been missing before this season. An injury as an underclassman and commitments to her club team kept Rodas from playing a full career for the Warriors. In her senior campaign, Rodas was an all-SAC selection and was also an all-sectional selection. Rodas will continue her career at Indiana State.

Jazmin Aldape, Fr., F

Bloom Township

Stats: 24 goals, 10 assists

In only her freshman season, Aldape showed the Southland Athletic Conference that she will be a force to contend with for the next three seasons. Aldape led the Blazing Trojans in goals scored and her 10 assists show that even as a freshman, she already has the ability to distribute the ball. Aldape was an all-SAC selection and should have been an all-sectional pick as well, but her status as an underclassman hurt her chances for votes with the coaches. Freshman or not, Aldape is one of the best scorers in the area and will only continue to get better.

Amy Carollo, Sr., MF

Crete-Monee

Stats: 19 goals, 16 assists

On a team of standouts, Carollo was the heart and soul of the Warriors. Her 19 goals from a mid-fielder position demonstrate her ability to score at all times and from outside the box. Carollo was a three-time all-conference selection in the Southland Athletic Conference and she was a 2011 all-sectional pick along with being the Warriors team MVP in 2011. Carollo is a force in the middle of the field and her vision and ability to win balls make her the ideal mid-fielder. Her 16 assists led the Warriors this season and Carollo will attend Midland University in Nebraska in the fall.

Jamie Kats, Jr., MF

Thornton Fractional

Stats: 36 goals, 7 assists

Simply put, as Kats goes, so goes Thornton Fractional. The junior remarkably scored 36 goals from a midfielder position despite other teams keying in on her throughout the season. Thornton Fractional saw constant improvement throughout the season and is a team on the rise. Kats will be a major part of that rise next season and look for big things from this solid mid-fielder.

Ali Farkos, Jr., MF

Homewood-Flossmoor

Stats: 9 goals, 24 assists

Farkos' 24 assists tell the tale of just how important the junior midfielder was to the Vikings' successes this senior. Farkos was an all-conference selection this season in the SouthWest Suburban Blue Conference for the third time in three years. Farkos was also an all-state selection in 2011. Farkos is the engine that makes the Vikings go, and she controls the middle of the field as well as any player in the area. Farkos has verbally committed to Illinois State.

Sam Schwartz, Sr., D

Beecher

Stats: 4 goals, 3 assists

Schwartz was the centerpiece for the Ladycats defense in 2011. Schwartz was a first team all-conference pick in the River Valley Conference. Schwartz was also a pick for Chicago Fire Player of the Week in March. Schwartz' stats may not be eye-popping but her defensive prowess is as good as any defender in the area. The Ladycats will be hard-pressed to find a defensive replacement for Schwartz in 2012 and beyond.

Alexis Arambula, Sr., D

St. Francis de Sales

Arambula was a force in the middle back for St. Francis throughout the 2011 season. Always the team player, Arambula even moved up to midfielder when the team called but her strong suit was as a defender. Arambula was an all-conference selection for the Pioneers in the Girls Catholic Athletic Conference. Arambula's prowess as a defender earned her the nickname of "the Great Wall of China" by her teammates.

Emily Johnson, Sr., D

Homewood-Flossmoor

Stats: 1 goal, 10 assists

The senior captain finished her career with the Vikings with three all-conference selections in the Southwest Suburban Conference the past three season. Johnson was also an all-sectional selection in 2011. Johnson highlighted a Vikings defense that allowed only 16 goals in 24 games. The four-year varsity letterman will take her talents to Illinois Wesleyan next season.

Mollie Lindeman, Jr., D

Marian Catholic

As a junior, Lindeman was the anchor on the Marian Catholic defense. Lindeman was voted the team MVP by her teammates and was an all-conference selection in the East Suburban Catholic Conference. Despite her team finishing the season under .500 in 2011, the Spartans gave a solid effort against top-seeded and eventual regional champ Sandburg. Lindeman will return in 2012 to lead a young Spartan team that is looking to make a name for themselves.

Nikki Reardon, Sr., GK

Crete-Monee

Stats: 1.66 GAA, 103 saves, 6 shutouts

The senior goalkeeper for the Warriors is a big reason that Crete-Monee finished with an undefeated (7-0) record in the Southland Athletic Conference. Reardon proved herself as the strongest keeper in the SAC and was a wall for the Warriors in the back. Against rival Bloom Township, Reardon played through injuries, coming up with save after save to secure the SAC title for the Warriors.
