Scouting report: The Times Player of the Year, she led the area in kills with 344. Fryer added Added 123 digs and 19 aces for a young team that won Southland Athletic Conference and finished with a 20-12 record. She is being getting courted by a handful of colleges.
Katie Larson, Illiana Christian
Sr., Outside Hitter
Scouting report: The two-time all-Metro Suburban Conference player had 173 kills, 147 digs and 23 blocks for the Vikings, who advanced to the Class 3A Oak Forest Sectional final. Larson had a .940 serve percentage, as well as 34 aces. She was named all-tournament at Rich South and Manteno.
Gianna Messaglia, Homewood-Flossmoor
Sr., Libero
Scouting report: The three-year starter was a key piece to the Vikings' 19-win season in the competitive Southwest Suburban Blue Conference. The libero contributed 267 digs and 17 aces.
Justine Postma, Illiana Christian
Sr., Middle Hitter
Scouting report: She led a team that went 29-5 and won the Class 3A Hillcrest Sectional with 176 kills. Postma made 111 blocks, had a .950 serve percentage and was named all-tournament at Tinley Park.
Elise Seufert, T.F. South
Jr., Setter/Defensive Specialist
Scouting report: The Rebels' captain earned all-South Suburban Blue honors for the second straight year. An all-around player, she contributed 45 aces, 309 assists, 85 digs and 37 kills. She had a .950 serve percentage and an .810 dig percentage for a team that finished second in the conference.
Maya Topps, Crete-Monee
Jr., Outside Hitter
Scouting report: The captain was a two-year starter and an all-Southland Athletic Conference selection. She set a school record for kills this season with more than 200. Topps made all-tournament at Rich South.
Claire Weidman, Homewood-Flossmoor
Sr., Outside Hitter
Scouting report: A Southwest Suburban Blue Conference selection, she led the Vikings with 225 kills. Weidman was named all-tournament at Lincoln-Way Central, Downers Grove North and Champaign Centennial.
