CRETE | Crete-Monee coach Christina Cobbins attributes her team's 6-0 season start to pressure and rebounding.

The Warriors played a tough game defensively on Tuesday night against T.F. South and won 66-30 to remain undefeated on the young year.

Morgayne Perry had 20 points for the victorious Warriors, while teammate Ashley Henry scored 17 and brought down 14 rebounds.

"Mostly the pressure is helping us win," Cobbins said. "Taking care of each other and getting second shots off rebounds too ... but mostly rebounding and the press."

The Warriors jumped out to a 15-3 lead after one quarter and had a 19-point lead heading into the half.

Perry finished the game 9-of-14 from the free throw line.

"I feel like we played as a team," Perry said. "We saw each other and just had chemistry. It was working. No selfishness. We play as a team."

The Warriors' pressure game the Rebels fits all evening. Kameron Dickens and Teosha Rolling each had three field goals and six points for the Rebels.

"We're not good and we have to practice very very hard," coach Steve Breshock said. "When we run our offense unselfishly, we get our shots. We didn't have the effort coming out of the gate."

Crete-Monee's Trannika Vance had 10 rebounds and seven points for the Warriors. Henry was a force under the basket, joining Vance to control the glass.

"We came out sluggish at the beginning but we picked it up," Henry said. "We don't focus on our record, we just play to win."
