With a the SouthWest Suburban Red conference title already in the bag, Thornton fell to visiting Andrew 27-0 Friday night to snap a six-game winning streak as the regular season came to an end.
Thornton quarterback Jowahn Brown threw for 117 yards on 13-of-31 passing, but was picked off twice as the Wildcats fell to 7-2 and 6-1.
Andrew, which came in on a two-game skid, improved to 6-3 and 5-2.
Nazareth Academy 35, Marian Catholic 21: In their final game of the season, the Spartans scored first in the first quarter and later took a 14-7 lead in an East Suburban Catholic Conference.
Nazareth (5-4, 2-4) responded with 28 unanswered points.
Like last week for Marian Catholic (1-8, 0-6), Ki-Jana Crawford concluded the scoring late in a game with a 40-yard touchdown reception from Lorenzo Aldridge. Crawford had 100 yards receiving on four catches, and Aldridge himself caught a TD pass -- from Eric Hurley -- to open the scoring.
Hurley also scored on a 4-yard run to help give the Spartans a 14-7 lead.
Joshua Moore, who scored on a 91-yard kickoff return after Aldridge's opening TD, later scored on runs of 7 and 5 yards while rushing for 81 yards on 21 carries.
Lemont 42, T.F. North 0: The Meteors were held to 44 yards of total offense while Lemont compiled 381 after jumping out to a 28-0 lead in the first quarter.
Christos Giatras had touchdown runs of 34 and 17 yards, and Zac Brosseau scored from 38 yards out and connected with Drew Slee with a 55-yard TD pass for Lemont (8-1, 5-1 South Suburban Blue).
T.F. North ended its season 1-8 overall, 0-6 in the conference.
Thornwood 37, Thornridge 8: Donte Briggs had 175 yards rushing and two touchdowns for Thornwood (3-6, 2-5 SouthWest Suburban Red).
The Falcons ended the season 0-9 overall, 0-7 in the conference.
