Cameron Bass's bases-loaded single in the bottom of the 10th on Monday lifted Crete-Monee past Kankakee, 5-4, in a Southland Conference baseball thriller on Monday.
With two outs and no one on base, Keith Bachert walked, Logan Kent walked and General McArthur ripped an RBI single. Kyle Bumpus then walked to load the bases for Bass.
Kent finished 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles for the Warriors (17-4, 10-1).
Homewood-Flossmoor 6, Lincoln Way-East 5: The Vikings pulled out a "wild" victory after scoring the tying and winning runs on wild pitches in the bottom of the seventh.
It all started when Pat Sheehan reached base on a dropped third strike, advanced to third on Jessie Forestell's single, then scored the tying run on a wild pitch. Soon after, Devon Smith, who was running for Forestell, scored from third on another wild pitching to win the game.
Forestell was 3 for 4 with a home run, and Jeremy Orbik got the win in relief for Homewood-Flossmoor (12-9).
Marian Catholic 2, Oak Forest 1: Despite being held to three hits, the Spartans (12-11) slipped by Oak Forest on Alex Nickel's two-run homer in the sixth.
Seton Academy 21, St. Benedict 15: Alyssa Brown went 2-for-4 with four RBIs and two runs scored and teammate Taylor Jones went 3-for-4 with four RBIs and three runs to lead Seton (3-8, 1-3) to the GSAC White win.
Illiana Christian 25-25, Reavis 15-13: Mike Fiene had seven kills and Trevor Dekker added 22 assists and four kills to lead the Vikings.
