Bloom Township claimed two individual events and two relays to win the Bloom Track Madness indoor meet Saturday with 102 points.
Thornton was second with 84.
The Blazing Trojans' Gina Narcisi won the 1,600-meter run in 5:53.07 and Brittany Thomas won the 55 meters (7.37). Teammate Ivory Cassell was second in the 55 (7.4) and triple jump (36-5).
Bloom's 1,600 relay team of Thomas, Sullibet Ramirez, Amari Sims and Kierra Griggs won in 4:26.95. Its 3,200 relay of Angelique Hamilton, Jazzmin Ruiz, Ramirez and Narcisi prevailed in 10:27.7.
Thornton's Mitz Terry won the long jump (16-7 1/2).
T.F. South was fifth (28 1/2), Illiana Christian sixth (28) and Thornridge ninth out of 10 teams (13).
T.F. South's Celestine Keys and Jessica Maricich went 1-2 in the shot put with tosses of 33 feet, 1 inch and 32-5 1/2 respectively.
Boys indoor track
Thornwood Invitational: The host Thunderbirds won four events and used depth to win with 105 points.
Joliet West was second with 81 points. Crete-Monee was third (67 points), followed by Homewood-Flossmoor (59). T.F. North placed eighth (26 points).
Crete-Monee's Elijah Douglas won the 60-yard high hurdles (7.79) and long jump (21-7). He also led off the Warriors' winning mile relay team (3:43.38). Other team members were: Taris Simmons; Christian Stewart; and Asante Washington.
Crete's 880 relay of Jermaine Averhart, Raphael Vallot, Nathan Collins and Nyles Morgan won in 1:38.28.
Thornwood captured the 2-mile relay (8:45.66).
Homewood-Flossmoor got wins from Matt Anyiwo (600) and Kevin Anderson (880).
Thornwood also got firsts from Dwight Johnson in the 300, Eric Maymon in the pole vault and Dwayne Franklin in the shot. T.F. North's Myles Barbee won the high jump.
