Mariom Faniyi and B Holmes won two events each to lead Thornwood to a triangular win over Oak Lawn and Thornridge on Thursday.
The Thunderbirds won 14 of the 16 events and had 103 points. Oak Lawn had 37 1/2 and Thornridge 22 1/2.
Faniyi won the 60-yard high hurdles (9.40 seconds) and 60 low hurdles (9.34). Holmes took first in the long (15-1) and high jumps (5-0).
Thornwood also won the 2-mile relay, mile relay and 880 relay. Other winners for the Thunderbirds were Andriel Hibard (600), Jamiah Shepard (880), Aliyah Wricks (440), Misty Rogers (300), Janaia Carter (triple jump), Andrea Fulglam (pole vault) and Janeah Stewart (shot put).
Badminton
Homewood-Flossmoor 4, Downers Grove South 4: Cory Galen won her No. 1 singles match 21-13, 21-8, and Katie Sinwelski won No. 4 singles 21-18, 24-22, but Homewood-Flossmoor ended the match in a tie with Downers Grove South. In No. 1 doubles, Julia McMurtrey and Leslie Bonthron won 21-16, 21-11, while Jessi Hrymak and Holly Deckelman won No. 2 doubles 23-21, 21-14.
Galen opened singles competition with a 21-8, 21-14 win, but the Vikings were overwhelmed by Sandburg 12-3.

Kravetz commits: Mount Carmel left-handed pitcher and Lansing resident Jeremy Kravetz has committed to Kansas.
