Tye Wilburn was a second-half assassin for Lake Central at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Saturday night. And the speedy guard got some just rewards after the game.
"Tye wasn't on Hoosier Basketball Magazine's Top 60 workout when we went down there," Indians coach Dave Milausnic said. "But he was when we left."
Wilburn scored 14 of his 20 points in the second half against Indianapolis Tech in the Class 4A state championship game to go along with four assists and three steals.
L.C. was down 15 at halftime and 23 in the second half before rallying back to get within three with 10.9 seconds left before falling 63-59.
