Northwest Indiana sports postponements

The following is a list of Northwest Indiana prep athletic events postponed due to the weather. Where available, make-up dates and times are noted.

-- The girls basketball sectional at Valparaiso has been postponed. The Chesterton vs. Valparaiso game will be played at 6 p.m. Wednesday, the LaPorte vs. Portage game will be played at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The previously scheduled Wednesday games (Merrillville vs. Michigan City and Hobart vs. Crown Point) will be moved to Thursday. The Friday semifinal games will now be played beginning 10 a.m. on Saturday morning with the championship game remaining at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

-- The girls basketball sectional game at Hanover Central of Bishop Noll vs. Hanover has been postponed to 7 p.m. Wednesday. The remaining semifinal games previously scheduled for Friday are currently on as planned.

-- The girls basketball sectional at Hebron has been postponed to Wednesday with the Winamac vs. Culver Community game beginning at 5:30 p.m. and the Hebron vs. Boone Grove game at 7:15 p.m.

-- The girls basketball sectional games at Bowman Academy have been postponed to Wednesday. Whiting vs. Kouts will be played at 6 p.m. Wednesday followed by Bowman Academy vs. LaCrosse at 7:30 p.m.

-- The girls basketball sectional games at Oregon-Davis have been postponed until Wednesday. Argos vs. South-Central will be played at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday with Oregon-Davis vs. Triton following at 7 p.m.

-- The Roosevelt vs. Hammond girls basketball sectional game at Hammond will be played at 7 p.m. as scheduled. The Kankakee Valley girls basketball sectional will be played as scheduled, with the K.V. vs. Andrean game beginning at 6 p.m. and the Calumet vs. Knox game following at 7:30 p.m.

-- The Lake Central at Chesterton gymnastics meet has been postponed to Feb. 22.

-- The T.F. South at Illiana Christian girls basketball game has been cancelled.

-- The Evergreen Park at T.F. North girls basketball game has been postponed to Friday.

-- The Lew Wallace at E.C. Central boys basketball game has been cancelled with no rescheduled date.
