Ty Gaston Jr. struck out four and threw a three-hitter as the Seton Academy baseball team beat Ag Science 4-1 in six innings on Monday at Gouwens Park.
Gaston threw 14 first-pitch strikes and retired the side in order in three of the six innings.
Greg Alexander led the offense with three hits and Williams Thomas had a two-run double and two stolen bases.
Illinois Lutheran 11, Tri-Point 1: Jake Kendrick was 2-for-3 with three RBIs and Grant Farmer drove in four runs to lead the Chargers (3-0, 1-0) to the River Valley Conference win.

St. Francis de Sales 17, Corliss 7: Kemari Simmons went 3-for-3 with two doubles, two runs, three RBIs and was hit by a pitch.
Teammate Colton Lopez joined the offensive onslaught with two doubles.
Beecher 9, Grant Park 0: Sarah Crews and Savannah Soppet combined to throw a two-hit shutout against the Dragons.
Crew was 2-for-3 with a homer and four RBIs for Beecher (4-1). Soppet had 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, while Sydney Zupan was 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Eisenhower 15, T.F. North 5 (6 inn.): Denessa Diaz homered and Alexis King tripled for the Meteors (0-3, 0-3 South Suburban Blue) in the loss to the Cardinals.
Kankakee 23, Thornwood 3 (5 inn.): Crystal Nwaokocha tripled and Hannah McPherson doubled for the Thunderbirds (0-3).
