Stephanie Galan recorded 10 digs, five kills and four aces to lead the St. Francis de Sales girls volleyball team to a 25-13, 25-21 win over North Lawndale on Monday.
Keara Cunningham added four kills and eight digs for the Pioneers (12-4).
Illiana Christian 25-25, Mt. Assisi 20-15: Kat Witting's two aces and Jamie Petrarca's five kills and four blocks led the Vikings (20-14) to the nonconference win.
Mikinsey Pruim had four kills and two blocks, while Hannah Wegner had 15 assists, two kills and three digs.

C.P.'s Kurtz headed to Liberty: Crown Point boys soccer player Bay Kurtz has officially committed to play for Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va., a NCAA Division I program that competes in the Big South Conference.
Kurtz, a senior captain on C.P.'s undefeated soccer team this season, has tallied 16 goals and leads the team with 11 assists.
Kurtz will lead the Bulldogs (18-0-1) to Saturday's Class 2A Warsaw Semistate semifinal against the host school, which is 14-2-5.
Prep football coaches polls: Andrean's football team remained No. 1 in the Associated Press' Top 10 poll for Class 3A. The 59ers received 16 first-place votes.
Merrillville remained at No. 7 in Class 6A, while Lake Central received two votes.
Munster moved up to No. 10 in Class 5A; Rensselaer moved up a spot to No. 5 in Class 2A and Whiting moved up a spot to seventh in Class A.
Morton received 18 votes in Class 4A.
