Amari Griffin had seven kills and four blocks, and Brieanna Steele recorded 11 assists with three aces to lead the Beecher girls volleyball team to a 16-25, 25-14, 25-16 win over Reed-Custer at the Class 2A Coal City Regional.
The Ladycats (20-9) will face top-seeded Wilmington at 6:30 p.m. today in one semifinal.
Savannah Soppet added five kills and 12 digs, while Bri Bowler had 25 digs and two kills.
Class 4A Crete-Monee Regional
Bloom Twp. 25-25, Crete-Monee 17-14: Akeelah Muhammad made seven kills and Amber Fryer added six to lead the Blazing Trojans past the host Warriors.
Bloom Township faces Sandburg at 6:30 p.m. today in one semifinal.
Fryer added three aces and two blocks, while Muhammad also had a block. Richelle Schoon was credited with eight assists.
Class 4A T.F. South Regional
Homewood-Flossmoor 25-25, Thornton 4-5: Nikki Herkert recorded five aces, 12 assists and two kills as the Vikings advanced to the semifinals.
They will play Marist at 6:30 p.m. today.
Zeja Shannon had five kills and five assists, while Emily Schroeder and Kaitlyn Shereyk notched six aces each. Shereyk also had five kills. Julie Tomlinson added three aces.

Football
Mount Carmel playoff tickets on sale: Tickets for the Hinsdale Central vs. Mount Carmel Class 8A first-round playoff game are on sale at Mount Carmel High School.
Tickets are $5 each and will be sold from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at the school. The game is 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Gately Stadium.
H-F selling playoff tickets: Homewood-Flossmoor fans can buy tickets to Friday's Class 8A first-round playoff game at the campus bookstore.
Tickets are $5 each as the Vikings play at 7 p.m. Friday at Marist.
Honors
Marian Catholic athletes earn all-conference: Five Marian Catholic football players were named to the all-East Suburban Catholic Conference team.
Offensive lineman Phil Faso, running back Jeruel Taylor, defensive back David Sowell, linebacker Byron Munoz and wide receiver Randall Wells received all-ESCC honors.
In boys soccer, Kyle Clayton was named all-conference.
In girls volleyball, outside hitter Amber Clay was named to the ESCC team.
