Teniya Page's 18 points, five assists, three steals and three rebounds led Times No. 1 Marian Catholic to a 54-38 girls basketball win over defending Missouri Class 5 state champion Columbia Rock Bridge on Saturday.
The game was part of the CBC Shootout at DeSmet High School in St. Louis.
Ashton Millender had 16 points, while Megan Walsh had 10 rebounds for the Spartans (15-1).
Beecher 43, Providence-St. Mel 28: Ashley Carroll led the Bobcats with 14 points in the lopsided win. Meghan Jacobson added 10 points for Beecher, eight of them coming in the first half.
Thornwood 48, Eisenhower 34: Aaliyah Wricks had 12 points and seven rebounds to lead the Thunderbirds to the win.
Boys Basketball
Romulus, Mich. 64, Seton Academy 57: Mark Weems Jr. had 17 points, and Alex Foster added 13, but the Sting (10-9) fell on the road.
Jalon Plummer led Romulus (5-1) with 25 points.
Wrestling
T.F. South quad: Four T.F. South wrestlers went 3-0 on the day, and Homewood-Flossmoor went 3-0.
T.F. South finished 2-1 and Thornwood 0-2.
H-F beat the Rebels 42-28, Andrew 47-22 and Thornwood 61-12. T.F. South beat Thornwood 53-22 and Andrew 33-30.
The Rebels' Jake Tisza (120 pounds), Blake Tisza (138), Austin Berryhill (160) and Corinthian McBridge (285) all went 3-0. Blake Tisza and McBridge had two pins each. Blake Tisza also had a major decision.
LaSalle-Peru quad: Bloom Township's Alexzander Clark won all three of his matches at 285 as the Blazing Trojans went 2-1.
They beat Normal 35-31 and LaSalle-Peru 37-33. Geneseo defeated the Blazing Trojans 49-6.
Bloom also got two wins from Raekwon Williams (106), Brian Ruiz (120), Darion Wiggs (126), Toby Lee (152), Dominique Taylor (160), Johnnie Foster (182), Mr. Clark (195) and Jaylen Thomas (220).
Boys Swimming
Lowell Invitational: Bishop Noll won two relays en route to winning the team title with 82 points.
Morton was second with 76.
The 200-yard free relay team of Anthony Repay, Jake Miller, Aaron Kruse and Brayden Banske won in 1 minute, 36.99 seconds. Miller, Robby Lorenz, Kruse and Bankse won the 400 relay in 3:36.19.
