Crystal Lee had 15 kills, five blocks and two aces, and Leah Lagestee had 10 kills and six blocks as the T.F. South girls volleyball team won the Joliet Central tournament on Saturday.
The Rebels beat Bishop McNamara 21-25, 25-14, 25-17 for the title.
Abbe Mullen had 38 assists, and an ace, while Justine Flores had two aces. Ashtyn Kapovich had five service points and was 23-of-25 passing. Jenna Pasko had eight kills and Cori Reynolds had seven service points.
Bishop Noll 25-25-25, Highland 21-21-18: The Warriors (7-3) got 18 kills from Carly Cappello and 14 kills and seven blocks from Asya Hobbs in picking up the win. Carissa Jones had 10 kills and seven aces, while Brittany Anderson had 15 assists and Emily Johnson had 14 assists.
Thornwood 27, Rich South 12: Travis Roberson scored on runs from the 1, 6 and 7 as the Thunderbirds (1-1) gave new coach Billy Bundy his first win.
Roberson finished with 82 yards on 17 carries. Darrion Davis scored Thornwood's final touchdown. Brian Smith had two interceptions.
Washington 43, Farragut 6: Tory Fenderson had two touchdowns rushing and one receiving as the Patriots (2-0) won at Eckersall Stadium.
Aaron Cruz was 12-of-15 passing for 187 yards and four touchdowns. Fenderson caught eight passes for 82 yards and Dariel Whitehead caught six passes for 45 and a score. He also returned an interception 18 yards for a touchdown. Antwon Lamon had two interceptions.
Roosevelt 37, St. Francis de Sales 32: Eric Matthews threw for one touchdown and rushed for two more, but the Pioneers couldn't stop the Rough Riders at Kroc Stadium.
Michael King had eight tackles.
Marian Catholic 3, Providence 1: Alex Guarino scored his 11th and 12th goals of the season as the Spartans improved to 7-0 with a win over the Celtics.
Luiscarlo Avila added a goal and Liam Fagan had an assist. Jacob Fodness had three saves.
Bloom Twp. 2, Crete-Monee 1: Heriberto Gomez and Jose Sanchez scored for the Blazing Trojans (4-1, 1-0) in the Southland Athletic Conference win over the Warriors (5-2, 0-1).
Jake Cogan scored for Crete-Monee.
Washington 3, Taft 1: Angel Rodriguez scored twice and Joshua Ocampo scored the other goal as the Patriots won the Public League Premier Division game. Sergio Martinez stopped five shots in the first half without allowing a goal. Jose Leyva had three saves in working the second half.
Bishop Noll 2, Culver Academy 0: Gabriel Anguiano scored twice for the Warriors (5-0-1), while Aaron Garza added an assist and Jonathan Lozano also had an assist and six saves in earning the shutout.
Girls cross country
Christian Schools Invitational: Illiana Christian made the drive to Grand Rapids, Mich. and finished fourth at the meet. Alexa Beezhold finished in 11th place for Illiana, Alex Clausing was 15th, Monica Smits 20th, Brittany Groen 28th, Elyssa Patricks 35th, Hannah Groen 42nd and Rachel Smits 43rd.
Marian Catholic Quad: The Spartans beat Bremen 5-0 and Bradley-Bourbonnais 4-1 to improve to 5-2.
Marian's Giselle Beebe won both of her matches at No. 1 singles. Gabriella Valendon won at No. 2 singles against Bremen, then teamed with Margarita Loxas to win at No. 3 doubles against Bradley-Bourbonnais.
