With seven wrestlers winning both of their matches, T.F. South won both of its matches Saturday at the Loyola Academy Triangular.
Joe Young (182 pounds), Corinthian McBridge (285), Corey Cross (132), Justin Pickett (138), Blake Tisza (145), Austin Berryhill (160 and 170) and Justin McCoy (195) were all double winners as the Rebels beat Glenbrook North 54-15 and the host Ramblers 36-9.
Young won both of his matches by fall.
In the win over Glenbrook North, Jake Tisza (120), Darius Thomas (126), James Cooper (152), Young (182) and Blake Tisza (145) all pinned their opponents. Cross, Pickett and Berryhill all won by major decision.
Against Loyola, McCoy won by major decision, while Blake Tisza and Berryhill won by decision. Young pinned his opponent.
Boys Basketball
Crete-Monee 56, Jacksonville 49: The Times No. 3 Warriors (5-0) outscored the Crimsons 20-6 in the fourth quarter to come away with the win at the Springfield Shootout at the Prairie Capital Convention Center.
Marvie Keith (17 points) and Tyler Williams (nine points) made three 3-pointers each. Mark Conner added 12 points, while Marquette Muhammad and Ed Blackful had six rebounds each. Keith and Conner had four assists each.
Crete-Monee had 30 points in the paint to 16 for Jacksonville and was 21-of-38 shooting (58.3 percent).
Marian Catholic 66, Springfield Lanphier 51: In the nightcap of the Springfield Shootout, Tyler Ulis was 12-of-12 from the free-throw line and had 24 points as the Spartans (5-1) beat the Lions for their third straight win.
Down 29-26 at halftime, Marian went on 14-0 third-quarter run. Josh Cohn scored 15 points and K-Jana Crawford had 12.
Girls Basketball
Wilmington 49, Beecher 43: Ashley Carroll's 14 points, eight rebounds and three steals led the Ladycats in the road loss.
Danielle Snuckel led Beecher in scoring with 15 points.
Prep Swimming
Winterfest Invitational: Bishop Noll won the boys meet with 104 points and finished second overall with a 145 points as the Hobart meet combined boys and girls team scores.
The Warriors' Jake Miller won the 200-yard individual medley in 2 minutes, 21.76 seconds. Noll's 200 freestyle relay team of Anthony repay, Miller, Aaron Kruse and Brayden Bankse won in 1:38.0.
In the girls meet, Noll's Jacque Lelo won the 500 freestyle (6:54.02).
