E.C. Central's Kenneth Lloyd, Hobart's Nick Stack and Bowman Academy's 1,600-meter relay team picked up titles at Saturday's Hoosier State Relays track and field meet in Marion.
Lloyd cleared 6 feet, 10 inches to win the high jump crown in the Class 4A-5A meet, while Stack's teammate Matt Stewart was sixth.
Stack cleared 15 feet to win the pole vault.
In the Class A-3A meet, Marsalis Gibson, Jalen Knight, Xavier Walker and Jordan Grady combined to win for the Eagles. Andrean was second to Bowman in the 1,600 relay.
Gibson was also second in the 55 hurdles, as Bowman placed seventh as a team (28 points).
Morgan Township's Alex Kostelnik and Ben Savage finished third and eighth, respectively, in the 3,200. Also, Lew Wallace's Darius Mahome was fourth in the 55 hurdles and eighth in the 55 dash.
Chesterton placed sixth as a team in the big-school division. The Trojans took second in the 1,600-meter relay and fourth in the 3,200 relay.
Valparaiso's Andrew Kittridge was fourth in the 55 hurdles; Peyton Reed took fifth in the 3,200, and the distance medley team placed eighth.
Crown Point's Jordan Kelly was third in pole vault, while Portage was sixth in the 800 relay.
Bowman Academy's girls tied for fifth with 29 points. Keyera Lige was fourth in the 55 dash and fifth in the 55 hurdles, while the 800 relay was third and the 1,600 relay fifth.
Lew Wallace's Arielle Borders was second in the 55 dash. while teammate Alyza Dennie was eighth. The Hornets were also fifth in the 800 relay.
Wheeler was sixth in the 3,200 relay and seventh in the 1,600 relay, while South Central's Sydney Payne was eighth in the high jump.
In the big-school division, Chesterton placed eighth in the 3,200 relay; Hobart's Kara Cooke was sixth in high jump, and Portage's Jade McKnight was eighth.
