Merrillville’s B.J. Jenkins will defend his 2012 Rumble 3-Point shooting title when the annual competition takes place today at the Hammond Civic Center as part of the 14th annual Times Region Roundball Rumble.
Jenkins and the other boys shooters will hit the floor about 6 p.m.
The girls shootout, guaranteed to produce a new champion after Valparaiso’s Amber Klein won back-to-back titles, will begin at 3 p.m. today with the first two rounds.
The championship round for the girls will take place at halftime of the 4:30 p.m. girls game between E.C. Central and Logansport. The boys winner will be crowned at halftime of the 7:15 p.m. boys game between Hanover Central and Morton.
Girls shooters are asked to report to the Hammond Civic Center, in uniform, between 2:15 and 2:30 p.m. Boys shooters should report by 5:20 p.m.
