Thomas Kotel captured individual wins in the 200-yard individual medley (2:20.33) and 100 breaststroke to lead the Thornton Fractional boys swimming team to a 100-67 win over Bremen on Thursday.
Kotel also swam legs in the winning 200 medley relay (1:55.95) and 400 free relay (4:23.78).
Girls basketball
Seton Academy 67, Washington 25: Charlita Berry scored 20 points to lead the Sting to a win over the Patriots.
Tiffany Ellis added 17 points, while Alia Qualls scored 11 points.
Homewood-Flossmoor 35, Lincoln-Way East 32: Sydni Johnson had 16 points to lead the No. 4 Vikings (14-8, 8-2) past the Griffins in the SouthWest Suburban Blue Conference.
Tri-Point 54, Beecher 46: Danielle Snuckel's 14 points and Ashley Carroll's 12 led the Ladycats in the loss.
Stagg 54, Thornton 37: Lynda Tolbert had nine points and eight rebounds but the Wildcats (4-16, 4-8) were no match for Stagg in their SouthWest Suburban Red Conference loss.
Ice hockey
