After a slow start during a low-scoring first half, T.F. North was able to pull away from the Lockport boys basketball team 35-27 to win its second game of the Plainfield North Holiday Tournament on Thursday night.
Marquis Todd was perfect from the field (4-of-4) and from the free-throw line (4-of-4) while leading The Times No. 5 Meteors (7-1) with 12 points and seven rebounds.
Nick Wood and Danya Coleman each added eight points for T.F. North, which plays host Plainfield North at 6:45 p.m. today and Lincoln-Way North at noon Saturday.
Girls Basketball
Beecher 45, Illinois Lutheran 16: Ashley Carroll had 18 points and 12 rebounds, and Meghan Jacobson had 13 rebounds and four steals for Beecher (3-10, 3-2 River Valley Conference), which limited Illinois Lutheran (4-7) to two points each in the second and fourth quarters.
Lincoln-Way East 42, Homewood-Flossmoor 35: Sydni Johnson had 14 points and JV Norris scored 10 in a losing effort for the Times No. 3 Vikings.
Boys Bowling
T.F. South 3,208, Tinley Park 3,059: Taveon Roberson led the Rebels with a 692 series.
Devin Brad had a 258 game and Anthony Pena a 257.
Argo 1,994, T.F. North 1,882: Dennis Minefee's 450 series led the Meteors in the loss to the Argonauts at AMF Forest Lanes.
Trevond Scott had a 257, which was high game.
Boys Swimming
Oak Lawn 47 Thornton Fractional 46: Ivano Garza won two events for Thornton Fractional in the 100 butterfly and 200 individual medley, but it wasn't enough to prevent a close dual-meet victory for Oak Lawn, which was led by Sean Nugent, winner of the 100 and 200 freestyles.

Bloom Township game change: The Whitney Young-Bloom Township girls basketball game at 7 p.m. Tuesday has been moved from Bloom Trail High School to Bloom High School.
