After a slow start during a low-scoring first half, T.F. North was able to pull away from the Lockport boys basketball team 35-27 to win its second game of the Plainfield North Holiday Tournament on Thursday night.
Marquis Todd was perfect from the field (4-of-4) and from the free-throw line (4-of-4) while leading The Times No. 5 Meteors (7-1) with 12 points and seven rebounds.

Beecher 45, Illinois Lutheran 16: Ashley Carroll had 18 points and 12 rebounds, and Meghan Jacobson had 13 rebounds and four steals for Beecher (3-10, 3-2 River Valley Conference), which limited Illinois Lutheran (4-7) to two points each in the second and fourth quarters.
Lincoln-Way East 42, Homewood-Flossmoor 35: Sydni Johnson had 14 points and JV Norris scored 10 in a losing effort for the Times No. 3 Vikings.
