Crystal Lee had six aces and seven kills to lead the T.F. South girls volleyball teams to a 25-10, 25-7 South Suburban Blue win over Bremen on Thursday.
Leah Lagestee added six kills and three blocks. Briana Lilly had five kills and Abbe Mullen had 22 assists. Jenna Pasko added three kills and Ashtyn Kapovich was 5-of-5 passing for the Rebels (1-1, 1-0).
Oak Forest 25-25, T.F. North 18-17: Jasmine Aguado's had three kills. but the Meteors (0-2, 0-1) lost the South Suburban Blue match to the Bengals.
Esther Fagbemi, Tyra Johnson and Makiah Garrett had two kills each. Cristen Causey had four assists.
Bishop Noll 25-25-25, Marquette Catholic 18-19-23: Asya Hobbs' 11 kills and three aces led the Warriors (2-0, 1-0) to the Greater South Shore Conference win.
Carissa Jones had 11 kills and two aces, while Carly Cappello had 17 kills and Brittany Anderson had 14 assists.
Bloom Township 3, Bolingbrook 1: Juan Elizalde scored two goals and Ricardo Aldape added a goal in the Blazing Trojans' win in the Windy City Classic.
Thornton Fractional 3, Glenbard South 2: Dan Stellfox, Jose Sandoval and Jeremy Celmer each scored a goal to lead the United to the win. Israel Avila and Ray Kobus had one assist each, while Gabe Gutierrez made seven saves in the championship bracket of the Reavis/Windy City Classic.
Thornton Fractional plays either Cristo Rey Jesuit or St. Joseph at 8 a.m. Saturday at Reavis.
Marian Catholic 2, Andrew 0: Trent Blake had a goal and assist, and goalie Chris Taborn made three saves for his third straight shutout, as the host Spartans shut out the Thunderbolts for the second time this week.
Marian won its pool of the Reavis/Windy City Classic. Luiscarlo Avila also scored for the Spartans (3-0), while Alec Guarino added an assist. Marian plays Fenwick at 11 a.m. Saturday at Reavis.
Crete-Monee 1, Beecher 0: Jake Cogan scored with an assists from Fernando Aguirre to give the Warriors (3-0) the home win over the Bobcats (2-1).
Mark Hall had seven saves for Beecher.
Homewood-Flossmoor 4, Shepard 1: Jonathan Brandt had two goals, while Irie Grant and Noah Wojcikowski had a goal each to lead the Vikings to the win in the consolation bracket of the Reavis/Windy City Classic.
Denny Estelle had two assists, and Nick Wassilok had seven saves.
Washington 4, E.C. Central 1: Arturo Aupond's two goals led the Patriots to a season-opening win over the Cardinals.
Luis Ortega and Sebastian Meraz also scored. Brian Romo had two assists.
Illiana Christian 160, Peotone 182: Matt Zandstra's 37 earn him medalist honors as the Vikings (3-0) defeated the Blue Devils.
Teammates Steven Massey, Tony Dykstra and Caleb Jonkman each shot a 41.
Evergreen Park 181, T.F. South 192: Maggie Sloan was the medalist with a 41 at The Meadows, but the Rebels (0-2) fell to the Mustangs.
Josh Crosby shot a 47.
Homewood-Flossmoor 107, Lincoln-Way Central 79: Amber Barney won two individual events and was on two winning relay teams to lead the Vikings over the Knights.
Barney won the 200-yard freestyle (2:09.43) and 100 butterfly (1:04.01). She also was on the winning 200 free relay (1:492.24) with Morgan White, Shannon Jordan and Kelly Morrissey. She also teamed with Morrissey, Samantha Klupchak and Susanna Reese to win the 400 free relay (3:56.05).
Reese won the 50 free in 25.52. Katie Tekyl took first in the 500 free (5:45.13).
Neuqua Valley 4, Homewood-Flossmoor 3: Allison Lessner won at No. 1 singles for the Vikings, while the No. 1 doubles team of Timara Maxwell and Sophia Osabuhein won in straight sets.
