Camille Taylor made a basket with 16 seconds left, and Deja Cunningham made three free throws down the stretch to lead the Thornridge girls basketball team to a 45-44 SouthWest Suburban Red win over rival Thornwood on Thursday.
JayShari Chears had 11 points, while Raven Watts had eight points and 20 rebounds for Thornridge (3-11).
Breneka Walker led the Thunderbirds with 18 points.
Seton Academy 47, Bowman 39: Ebony Bailey scored 20 points to pace the Sting, which led throughout the game. Bowman pulled within three late in the second half before Seton Academy pulled away.
Reavis 35, T.F. North 33: Chanel Howard's 11 points topped the Meteors in a South Suburban Blue loss.
St. Anne 35, Illinois Lutheran 24: Caroline Kuether's eight points led the Chargers (5-7, 1-4) in a River Valley Conference loss.
Sara Corman grabbed eight rebounds.
Lincoln-Way West 57, Thornton 36: The Wildcats struggled in a SouthWest Suburban Red loss to the Warriors.
T.F. South 1,998, Tinley Park 1,786: Taveon Roberson rolled a team-high 239 game to lead the Rebels past Tinley Park in a South Suburban Blue match.
Jareyl Stone capped a strong day for the Rebels with a high game of 236.
Tinley Park 1,929, T.F. North 1,865: Javon Brown's 400 series led the Meteors in a loss to the Titans.
Brown had a high game of 205, while Kenneth Bowie rolled a 391 with a 201 high game.
Tinley Park 1,716, T.F. South 1,616: Amber Montejano's two-game series of 358 wasn't enough as the Titans defeated the Rebels.
Montejano had a high game of 195 for T.F. South.
Homewood-Flossmoor 102, Joliet Central 68: Jakobi McClellan and Haden Santefort won two individual events each and were on two winning relays to lead the Vikings to a SouthWest Suburban Blue win over the Steelmen.
McClellan won the 50-yard freestlye (22.81 seconds) and the 100 free (50.90). Santefort took first in the 200 free (1:43.14) and 500 free (5:04.09).
Both were on the winning 200 medley and 400 free relay teams.
