Better late than never.
The Associated Press issued an updated Class 3A all-state team Thursday, adding four players from state champion Andrean and six from runner-up Indianapolis Brebeuf to the honorable mention list. Quarterback Matt DeSomer, wide receiver Donovan Chandler, linebacker Tylor Petkovich and defensive back Noah Pavlina were recognized for the 59ers.
Lowell 99, Wheeler 78: The Bearcats won 10 events, but the Red Devils' depth pulled out the team win.
The Bearcats' Brandon Bolde won the 200- and 500-yard free. Jack Fekete won the 50 and 100 free, and Nathan Graf took the 200 individual medley and 100 breast titles.
Munster 118, Valparaiso 68: Wilson Beckman (50, 100 free) and Joe Gardner (200 IM, 500 free) each won two individual events, as the Times No. 2 Mustangs defeated the No. 6 Vikings.
Valparaiso’s Andrew Antonetti won the 100 breast, while teammate Trevor Mahlmann won the 200 free.
Pieroni begins busy stretch: Chesterton senior Blake Pieroni placed 37th in the 200 individual medley (1:52.28) and 63rd in the 50 free (21.05) Thursday during the opening day of the Speedo Winter Junior Nationals in Greensboro, N.C.
Pieroni is hardly finished at this meet. He competes today in the prelims of the 200 free (seeded eighth), 100 fly (46th) and 100 back (69th). On Saturday, he will compete in the prelims of the 100 free (seventh).
Munster 148, Valparaiso 38: Mary Beth Blocher (50, 100 free) and Nikki Smith (200, 500 free) each won two individual events to lead the No. 2 Mustangs over the No. 5 Vikings.

Lowell 109, Wheeler 59: The Bearcats' Gabi Gilliana earned wins in the 200 IM and 100 breast and was a member of Wheeler's winning 200 medley relay team, but the Red Devils depth earned them the win.
Rachel Metzger was also a three-time winner for Wheeler, taking the 50 free and the 100 fly along with swimming a leg on the medley relay.
Bishop Noll 36, Gavit 35: In a time-shortened match in Hammond, the host Gladiators had six forfeits and four pins, which allowed the Warriors to pull out a narrow win.
Noll got wins on the mat by Matt Gordon (106) and Mark Feliciano (170).
Gavit's Jameir Hightower (113), Vinny Valdez (138), Michael Maravilla (160) and Kevin Heard (182) won by pin. Frederick Taylor (126) won a major decision 16-0.
Lew Wallace 36, Hammond 27: The Hornets got a pin from Charles Carter (126) and won six matches by forfeit to beat the Wildcats.
Hammond's Javante Jones got a pin at 132, and Randy Scarbrough-Jackson got one at 138.
Lowell 48, Hobart 25: The host Red Devils got pins from Colten Camings (113), Drew Hughes (145), Alex Mavros (160), Kenny Hughes (170), John Bigbie (182) and Joe Reed (285) to pick up a Northwest Crossroads Conference win.
