Max Everaert had a double-double of 25 points and 12 rebounds Thursday night to lead the Kouts basketball team to a 70-41 win over Morgan Township, keeping the Mustangs unbeaten in Porter County Conference round-robin play.
Matt Stewart also had a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds for Kouts (16-2, 5-0), while Andrew Birky collected 13 points and five assists.
Ryan Klikus led the Cherokees (5-12, 2-4) with 20 points, while Chase Braden added 11.
Washington Township 68, South Central 43: Brandon Adkins drained five 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 23 points as the Senators defeated the Satellites in PCC play. Thamarr McGee added 16 points.
Adam Clindaniel led S.C. with 15 points.
Griffith 71, Calumet 35: Anthony Murphy's 16 points led the Panthers to a rout of the Warriors.
Anthony Harris topped Calumet with 13 points.
LaCrosse 47, West Central 45: Matt Bennett led the Tigers with a team-high 12 points in their win over the Trojans. Bobby Claypool added 11.
Wheeler 54, Morton 50: Kevin Barnes topped three players in double figures with 14 points as the Bearcats defeated the Governors. Jason Graf scored 12 points, while Austin Greiner added 11.
Ryan Elabed paced Morton with 14, while Tay'yon Carter had 12.
Kankakee Valley 51, Hebron 35: Dustin Ketelaar scored a game-high 16 points to lead the Kougars over the Hawks. Justin Eger added 13 points.
Tri-County 68, North Newton 51: The Spartans (0-16) hung tough with Tri-County for three quarters, but North Newton was outscored them 23-9 in the final quarter.
Wade Scheurich led the Spartans with 20 points.
Westville 69, River Forest 54: Shawn Gerron had 26 points and nine rebounds to power the Blackhawks over the Ingots. Collin Walker added 12 points, while Dylan Perney had 10.
JJ Pennington led River Forest with a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds. Tyler Thompson had 12 points and Brandon Laas 10.
LaPorte 63, Crown Point 46: Josh Fleming scored 17 points to lead the Slicers (5-13, 3-9) over the Bulldogs (5-12, 2-11) in Duneland Athletic Conference play. Zach Kiger had 14 points and Gage Ott 10.
Tom Bardeson had a team-high 13 points for Crown Point. Bret Barclay added 12 points and Nick Jeffirs 11.

Hoosier Basketball names Top 100: Hoosier Basketball magazine has announced its Top 100 list, the group from which the Indiana All-Star team will be determined. The number will be pared to 60 over the balance of the season, with a Top 60 workout to be held March 10 at Marian University in Indianapolis.
Local players chosen for the Top 100 are Katie Bobos, Lowell; Keshyana Cooper, Michigan City; Nicki Monahan, Portage; Dariyan Morris, Merrillville; Toni Murphy, Michigan City; Blayr Poston, Hanover Central; Dariyelle Ricks, E.C. Central; Laura Tonner, Rensselaer, and Emilie Ziese, Rensselaer.
Gymnastics
Chesterton 107.025, Merrillville 105.075: Brandi Tuzinski won every event to lead the Trojans over the Pirates in DAC play. Tuzinski won the all-around (36.85), bars (9.175), beam (9.175), floor (9.45) and vault (9.05). Teammate Lindsay Campbell was second in the all-around (35.575).
Merrilville's Taylor Woods was third in the all-around (35.25).
Prep softball
Andrean seniors commit: The 59ers had two softball players sign letters of intent to continue playing in college.
Brenna Boyle will play at Valparaiso, while teammate Savannah Kinsella verbally committed to St. Xavier.
