Zac Ryan went the distance with eight strikeouts and added two RBIs as Times No. 1 Andrean edged St. Laurence 3-2 in baseball action Thursday.

Boone Grove 11, Kouts 0 (6 inn.): Dean Hill (5-0) tossed five innings of three-hit ball with four strikeouts and helped his cause with three hits, three RBIs, three runs scored and three steals in a Porter County Conference win over the Mustangs (5-3, 0-3). Cody Poynter added a home run and three RBIs for the No. 7 Wolves (11-1, 2-0), while teammate Jon Hogg doubled and scored twice.
Will Ward was 2-for-2 for Kouts.
Munster 8, Griffith 7: Craig Dedelow was 2-for-4 with two runs scored, and his home run was part of a five-run seventh inning that gave Munster a Northwest Crossroads Conference win. After trailing 8-1, the Panthers mounted a six-run rally in the bottom of the seventh, but left the tying run on third base. Freshman Anthony Quintero went 2-for-4.
Hobart 10, Kankakee Valley 0 (6 inn.): Hobart's Brandon Murray threw a no-hitter with 15 strikeouts to lead the No. 8 Brickies (10-6, 4-2) to an NCC win. Nick Bokun had three RBIs, while Danny Stewart, Drey Devereux and Murray each had two RBIs.
Valparaiso 13, Michigan City 3: The Vikings' 1-2 hitters, Stephen Simms and Jeff Holmes, went a combined 6-for-9 with five runs scored and five RBIs to fuel a Duneland Athletic Conference win over the Wolves. Sam Miller added three hits for Valpo (4-3, 2-2), driving in two runs along with CJ Gear and Ethan Lehnen.
Wheeler 3, North Newton 2: Tyler Crussen (2-2, 3 runs) and Sam Bolla (2-2, 3 RBIs) did all the damage as the Bearcats (2-6, 1-1) edged the Spartans (4-3, 1-1) in Greater South Shore Conference play.
Merrillville 4, LaPorte 3: Brett Deline limited the Slicers to five hits as the Pirates (4-6, 2-3) held on for a DAC victory. Matt Warren was 2-for-3 for Merrillville.
Highland 2, Lowell 1: Highland scored twice in the top of the third for all the offense necessary to beat the Red Devils. Mark Vargas and Tyler Fraley each drove in a run for the Trojans.
Dan Garza had Lowell’s RBI.
Bishop Noll 20, Calumet 0 (5 inn.): Danny Pobereyko yielded one hit and struck out 11 in five innings, and went 3-for-5 with a double, RBI and two runs scored for the Warriors (8-2, 3-0) in a GSSC win. Larry Crisler was 3-for-4 with two doubles, four runs scored and an RBI, while Julian Guerrero was 3-for-5 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored.
Valparaiso 145, Crown Point 149, Chesterton 163: The host No. 1 Vikings (7-0, 2-0) had four of the top five individual scores to edge the No. 8 Bulldogs (2-1, 1-1) in a DAC triangular at Forest Park. Valpo's Bobby Jacobs and Crown Point's Mike Lee tied for medalist honors with 35s.
Evan Zondor led the No. 2 Trojans (3-3, 0-2) with a 39.
Kankakee Valley 94.5, Twin Lakes 37.5: Freshman Jenna Jungels won the long jump and 100-meter hurdles to lead the No. 8 Kougars (6-1) to the win. Joey Jungels, Jenna's older sister, won the 300 hurdles, while Leanna Mulloy took the 100 and 200.
Portage 3, Lake Central 2: Times No. 8 Portage (3-1, 1-) won two of the singles matches to edge No. 7 Lake Central (4-3, 0-1) in DAC play. Emily Sajda won 6-4, 6-1 at No. 3.
L.C.'s Kate Toth won 3-6, 7-6 (7-3), 6-2 at No. 1.
Andrean 5, Griffith 0: The 59ers swept the match, getting a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles from Grace Cooper.
