Caleb Jonkman just missed a double-double to lead the Illiana Christian boys basketball team to a 62-53 nonconference win over Oak Forest on Tuesday.,
Jonkman had 16 points and eight rebounds. Teammate Brandon Martin had 15 points, six assists and four steals for the Vikings (4-1). Jon Zandstra and Elijah Lares had 13 points each.
Illinois Lutheran 80, Grant Park 55: Four players scored in double figures as the Chargers moved to 4-0 overall and 1-0 in the River Valley Conference.
Collin Borns had 18 points, followed by Mack Newson with 17. Matt Carter had 14 and Austin Wood 10.
Bishop McNamara 75, Beecher 36: The Fightin' Irish (3-1) jumped out to a 20-8 first quarter lead and the Bobcats (2-3) never challenged.
Jake D'Anna led Beecher with six points.
Girls Basketball
Marian Catholic 61, Nazareth Academy 33: Ten different players scored as the No. 1 Spartans (5-0, 1-0) rolled past the Roadrunners in an East Suburban Catholic Conference game.
Teniya Page, Ashton Millender and Kauai Bradley had 10 points each. Millender had six rebounds and Megan Walsh had four blocks. Aliyah Isaac added six steals.
Seton Academy 39, De La Salle 28: Ebony Bailey's 12 points and Desiree Jackson's 12 rebounds led the Sting (3-3) to the win.
Jackson just missed a double-double with nine points. Charlita Berry added five points.
Washington 25, Carver 20: Catherine Uzoras' 17 points led the Patriots (4-0, 2-0) to the Metro South win.
Wrestling
Crete-Monee wins a pair: The Warriors beat Beecher-Grant Park 53-16 and Manteno 39-22.
